THIS IS IT...We Found Our New Home!

went to la to find a house, came home from la with out a house, flew back to la to find a home, come back from la with out a home, flew out to la to find a home, and FINALLY, came back with a home, very excited. we will be leaving in a week and a half, very anxious!
trying to live a normal life in between, not easy... trying to live MY life in some one else's home, also, not easy... (he he, i am still very thankful, mom) ;>
view from our hotel, very cool. had plans to play tennis, go swimming, play on the beach, packed for these events (including the tennis racquets)....NO TIME THOUGH...looked for a home from sun up to sun down, lot of work, very tiring, stressful, frustrating!
but, then you have this to look forward to!!!

Can you see the name of the restaurant??? meant to be that i move there, i guess!

happy harvest!

pumpkin patches are so much fun, i love the fall anyway, so basiclly everything thrills me this time of year, the smells, the colors, the festivities! crew loved running aound the pumpkins to hide from me, and picking them from the big field and placing them in the wagon! it was a real treat! also, the tractor was a big hit for crew and one of his best buds! happy pumpkin picking!

i am finally BACK to blogging AND we have big news!!

crew is looking to our new future with excitement and hope while reminiscing the wonderful times we will treasure.

YAY, i am back to the blogging world. so much to update.... a new life, really!

IT'S OFFICIAL.... WE ARE MOVING TO L.A.!! yikes %-)

as most of you know, we have been anticipating this news for a couple months and living in limbo, as our house rented within a week and a half. that part has been most chaotic, as you can imagine! moving out of our home with out a new home to go to, not knowing if this new job transition would even work out, we had two weeks notice to pack, move, and get the house ready for some one else to move in!! additionally, we had to move everything into storage, not knowing for how long, and then, trying to set up shop at my mom's, who was gracious enough to take our whole family in (thanks mom, love you ;>).

also, we want to publicly thank all our great great friends and family who helped us pack and move, it truly made our load so light!

much more to come soon, as i have an entire season worth of blogging to update!!! (hopefully, i will get to that this week)

as for moving, we are going this week to look for a new home and then ship out asap, per jeremy's wishes (not my own... :`( . i am so sad to leave our wonderful life here, i love our friends, i love our play groups, i love our four seasons, i love my tennis group whom i have played with at least once a week for the past four years now, i love our mountains, and so many more silly things like our pools, our zoo, our aqarium, our library (wee read), our restaurants, our stores, the "U" football, our co-ed softball team who we have played with for three years, and our community as a whole. i basically love where i live!!!

i am NOT saying that i won't find these awesome experiences in Marina Del Rey, at the beach, or disney land, etc. ;> , i am only saying that i have loved our time here and will cherish all the fond memories we've made with so many of you! and we thank you for those!!!! we will miss you all and DEFINITELY will be home to visit frequently!!

UP SIDES TO MOVING TO LA:
1. we are relocating to a place that you will want to come and visit us... ie, beach, disneyland, shopping, hollywood, and more! i am offering you all a place to stay and i am expecting to see you soon!
2. we aren't moving somewhere freezing cold (like 20 degrees below).
3. flights to LAX are better than most (i think?)
4. it's an easy drive home, only 10 hrs
5. and... welp... i will add to the list as i live there and discover my new home!!!

lastly, i want to speak to my incredible husband, who never ceases to amaze me... i am so proud of you, and what you have accomplished in your career thus far, i am in awe and inspired by you! thank you for working so hard for our family and caring for us in ways far beyond financially. we would move any where to be with you!

ps. mom i will miss you so much and will only be a short 1 1/2hr. flight away! i will be a dedicated blogger so you will feel included in crew's life almost as much as you are now (living 5 streets away, that has been really fun)! and although it doesn't seem possible for anyone to miss you more, i know crew will! he loves you so much and thanks for being an amazing mimi!

Aunt Charli, you better come to visit immediately, we'll have a room for you to come visit all the time.
MISS YOU ALL, AGAIN! and please stay in touch!

here are some pics to show the evolution of our house that we have spent the last few years making our home!

built in the 50's (make sure to look at the cars)

the 60's (again, check out the cars)

after all the work we did on the house...

good bye home! we'll miss you!

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken.

summer time makes me want to buy fruit every day, espeically b/c we are walking distances from tagge's (a little mobile farmer's market), who's home-grown cherries are delicious, by the way!
this is terra's fruit pizza! our family's favorite dessert! i love to surprise jeremy when i get domestic on him! he turns extra sweet, and that's even more bonus, right? =>
life with my boys is so good!!

just got out of the pool, you wouldn't know sinse their hair is already dry!

crew sees a trampoline and squeals in joy, he doesn't have the vocabulary word 'excited' yet, but i know that he is!!

Graduation Celebration Texan Style!

hey ya'll!! we all went to see maxx (my brother) graduate from high school, and we had a blast! uncle maxx is so fun and cool and the best uncle! crew loves you!!

Dinner at The Jazz, YUMMO! one of mom's favorite restaurants in Lubbock (the restaurant capitol). it's a way cool and funcky Louisiana jazz atmosphere with my favorite dish 'fettaccinni alfredo' and shrimp and the bomb 'lemon chicken'! i should have taken a pic of the restaurant decor, dollar bills cover the walls. so maxx added to collection and scribbled on the dollar bill, '2009 GRAD'! it was really fun! And Crew loved his mardi gras beads.

Night of the Graduation! papa and dawn! we love dawn, she is so sweet and fun!
Papa and his most handsome grandson!

Congrats Maxx, YOU DID IT! we are so excited for you and wish you all the luck!!

it was so wonderful to see our nanny from childhood and her husband. they were like family to us and it was so sweet and special to see them at the graduation. they are so cool and we love their family so much! it was so great to re-connect! i remember her making home-made tortillas and taking me to my tennis lessons! unforgettable memories!

The Big Party to follow... and this cake kicks off the celebrations (no joke, this is the real cake). With an amazing live band, sam (good friend) cooking burgers for every one, and life long friends, we had an exceptional time! isn't this cake cool?

lovers!

Jumanji had a Make-over! YAY!!

we, I ESPECIALLY, have been wanting a new backyard, for a long time now (especially with my little crewzer who loves to be outside all the time)!!

**side note: to give you a better understanding, this huge dirt area use to be an amazing garden (due to the original owners who built this house in the 50's. they were the world's greatest gardeners ;>). after my one attempt at gardening, the result was a crosspolinated batch of squashzinni. needless to say, the garden went down-hill when we moved in!

mean while, weeds are growing at an alarming rate, the original raspberry bushes, FROM THE 50'S, are spreading like wild fire, the aspen quakey trees are growing randomly out of the grass in various places (yuck), and lastly, the stupid 'morning glories' are breaking away from their barriers to join the rest of the disasterous mess! ugh. ugh. ugh. i hated it. i never wanted to go in the back yard, even though i dreamed of hanging out back their to grill, relax on the patio, jump on a trampoline, get a swingset/playground-set, put up crew's little pool, and finally, have a little white picket fence wrap around the yard/house!! i am not asking much! he he!

ok, so really and truly i would just be happy with a clean yard, EVEN IF IT'S JUST PLAIN CLEAN DIRT!!

But AT LAST, i got my dream of all new beautiful sod and i am in heaven!! yay!

so here are the before and after pics of the fruits of our very INTENSE labors!! ONLY i didn't take the before pic early enough, so imagine this to be about 50x's worse (70 ish raspberry bushes covered this ground, we have already hauled out 5-8 big ugly trees, and more)!!

BEFORE

AFTER

(and it's even more beautiful than the pics look)

yay! now i don't have to be the neighborhood's embarrasement! do you love it! i am so excited!

AND A REALLY BIG HUMONGOUS SHOUT-OUT TO MY HARD WORKING HUBBY WHO MADE THIS ALL HAPPEN! I LOVE YOU!

my domestic son!!

crew-zer loves the blender and the hand-mixer! he always points to the cupboard they're in, and i get them down, put them on the kitchen floor and he loves to play with them, pushing the buttons and carring them around the house! it's really funny, b/c i don't even use them! but i figure, i should help him explore his passions inspite of our differences (i hate anything to do with cooking, rather go out to eat). so i bought him a cake mix! and i helped him use the hand-mixer to make the cake batter! it was really fun!

unfortunately i failed to get a pic of him throwing the eggs into the bowl like it was a ball, then i would grab out the shell quickly! HE LOVED THE BATTER THE MOST (just like mommy), when it was completely finished, he took the liberty to dunk the beater back into the batter a few more times and lick it clean!! turns out, i don't think he cares to cook, just likes the noise and how it works!! this is more fun the older crew gets! all of his explorations, are actually helping me to explore what really makes him happy! we are having so many good times together!! mommy loves you, crewzer :)

wus up couz??

and we thought crew had a dark complexion!! he he! cousin, andreaus is only two days younger than crew so they had a lot of fun playing cars together! COOL AFRO, stud!

Aquarium Fun

the boys were all smiles and full of laughter and aahhh at the AQUARIUM, until mom pulled out the camera and stuck them in a little make-shift boat for a pic. aside from that moment of fear, they ran from one thing to the next, playing in the water with the sting-rays (for those of you who don't know, their stinger has been removed, thankfully), watching the sharks swim close to them, looking at all the fishies, touching a mock eel (not crew, i touched it and got a teeny tiny shock, crazy), looking at the octopus (who never moves, every time we go, he's in the same place, has anyone seen him in action?), playing on the boats, and pretending to be fishies in the little children't play coral reef! really fun! crew's friends: gavin, jackson, and sawyer.

two tired toads!

crew and mason, mason and crew!!
these cute boys love to play with each other! we are next door neighbors, so we get to see each other all the time, it's awesome! crew always looks out the front window, looking for mason and listening, then if he sees him, he starts bouncing up and down, reaching up high to try and open the door, and squealing for me to him out! they love each others toys! it's way cool and they are only two weeks apart in age!

Stacking Blocks!

i think crew likes to stack his blocks mostly b/c he has an excuse to use his stool (new fav. thing). he goes and gets his stool and looks out the window, or looks on top of the bath room counter to try and reach for our toothbrushes, or by the couch to jump on! it's amazing to me how fast he is discovering the wide world! i am so proud of crew, and i have more fun with him then i ever could have imagined!! SWEET MOMEMTS EVERY MINUTE AS A MOMMY!

Spring Weather is Here and WE are loving it!

dad, i love you so much! thank you for always playing outside with me and teaching me what all the different cars are that drive by. you know that i especially love the garbage trucks, semi's (not that they drive by), the jeeps, and most of all the trucks...just like you dad! you are so cool and i love our time together!
crewzer bruizer!!!

Roller Skating Night!

we went to classic skating for a night of family fun and had a ball! crew was really loving the loud music and the sporadic siren noises, the black lights, disco ball, and all the kids around. not to mention he loved the food....potato chips, nachos, cheese prezels, pizza, and soda to drink! we all had fun, i wore my roller-blades, while jonz wore the real roller-skates! super cool, babe!! i liked seeing you race around in those!!!

Gymboree Play and Music

just a quick post of crew's gym class! we are now in the level 4 and focusing our attentions to "problem solving, and patterns and actions to perform, and in what order, to reach a goal-- this is called motor planning." he loves it, so we try to attend a few times a week. we have been able to meet so many fun people and lil' friends! crew's fav is bouncing really high (if ever a different teacher comes and doesn't bounce him as high, he quickly becomes very dissappointed, much to my dismay, he then throws a fit and every one looks at me like i should know what to do, but i don't). i thought we had another year before 'fit-throwing' started, but he is very advanced in this area, and therefore his skill set at the gym has proven to be a replica of his mother (needing to be an extreme bouncer, ie: roller coasters, and a strong communicator of his will) ha!!!

Easter Egg Hunt!

our church put together the cutest little in-door Easter Egg hunt. it began with games and music (sooo cute). then all the kids were split-up into different rooms according to their appropriate age group to fill their baskets. after this, the Easter bunny came to visit and they all received a special basket with goodies!!
good thing it was inside be/c it was snowing outside (hence our turtle-necks and snow hat)!!!

Zoo'n- It in the Cold!

Three little monkey's hang'n with their mommies!

it was my first time to venture to the zoo IN THE COLD, but it was funner' than ever b/c the animals were so playful and alert! take a look-see at what crew was able to enjoy! and in addition to the monkey and the elephant tricks, there was the cutest interlude between a mommy and baby gorilla, that i didn't catch on video since i was too captivated with their sweet exchange!
